Gathering for Good

The Gathering supports our community by confronting issues affecting Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people

NATSIAC’s vision is to be the primary voice for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Anglicans, promoting Gospel mission, encouraging ministry and generating resources so that we may walk together with God and the wider church.

As God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience. Bear with one another and, if anyone has a complaint against another, forgive each other; just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in the one body. And be thankful.

Colossians 3: 12-15

What is NATSIAC?

NATSIAC stands for National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Anglican Council. There is a NATSIAC Canon which is part of General Synod’s rules and regulations that govern the membership of NATSIAC and give us guidelines as to how we work and function. NATSIAC is affiliated internationally with the Anglican Indigenous Network which has a seat on the United Nations.

Life by Robyn Davis

Our life is like the tide.
It comes and goes, sometimes without us even noticing.
It swirls around us calm, soft and peaceful and we dance in the moonlight.
Other times it roars and we ride it like the wind.
It’s colourful, it’s beautiful and it’s wonderful.
That’s life!!

Artist profile

Robyn is a Wadi Wadi woman from the Balranald and Swan Hill area. She has been painting and drawing for as long as she can remember.

“Painting is part of my life, my nature, my being and my spirit, it is inseparable from my Christian faith and Indigenous heritage.”

Her paintings are often of a spiritual nature and tell the stories of life, relationships and culture.

Her clan totem is the platypus and personal totem is the sand goanna so she is truly a woman of the land and water. She has a strong Christian faith (ordained in 2009) and believes that God has given her this gift as he gives all of us gifts. You will find a small gold cross in each of her paintings to acknowledge the true creator.
